Booking & Deposits

All custom orders require a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking.
Celebration cakes require a 50% non-refundable deposit, while wedding cakes require a £100 non-refundable retainer.
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 3 days before collection/delivery for celebration cakes and three weeks before the wedding date for wedding cakes.
If full payment is not received by the due date, your order may be cancelled, and the deposit will be forfeited.

Payment Methods

Cancellations

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you need to cancel your order, please notify us as soon as possible. Depending on how much work has already been completed, a partial refund may be considered at our discretion.
Wedding cakes: If cancelled within three weeks of the wedding date, no refund will be issued.

Refunds

Due to the custom nature of our cakes, all sales are final, and we do not offer refunds once the order has been made.
Refunds will not be issued for change of mind.

Custom Designs

We take inspiration from reference images but do not directly copy other bakers’ designs. Instead, we create a bespoke design that aligns with your vision and Caketasia’s luxury aesthetic.
If you’d like a sketch of your cake design, this can be provided after your deposit has been paid.

Changes to Orders

Minor design changes can be made up to 4 weeks before the wedding date or 1 week before a celebration cake order.
After these deadlines, changes are not guaranteed, but we will try to accommodate if possible.

Collection

Collection is from North Manchester M40 area. The exact address will be provided upon booking.
Collection times will be confirmed in advance. Late collections are not permitted unless previously arranged.
Once collected, the cake becomes your responsibility, and we are not liable for any damage that occurs during transport or storage.

Delivery

Wedding cakes and larger orders are eligible for delivery, subject to availability and a delivery fee.
Delivery charges are based on distance and any additional set-up requirements.
If no one is available to receive the order at the agreed time, the cake will be returned to Caketasia, and an additional fee will apply for re-delivery.

Transporting Your Cake

Cakes should be transported flat in the boot of a car, with the air conditioning on to prevent melting.
We are not responsible for any damage that occurs after collection.

Buttercream/Ganache cakes should be stored in the fridge and brought to room temperature at least 1 hour before serving for the best texture.
Fondant cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place and not refrigerated as condensation can affect the design.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to one month.
We do not take responsibility for cakes that have been stored incorrectly.

Our cakes contain gluten, dairy, eggs, and nuts. While we take care when preparing our cakes, we cannot guarantee that they are free from cross-contamination.
If you have a severe allergy, we do not recommend consuming our products.

Pre-Recorded Tutorials

Once purchased, a download link will be sent directly to your email.
Tutorials can be watched anytime, anywhere, and can be saved for future reference.
Due to the digital nature of the product, no refunds are available after purchase.

Live Online & In-Person Classes

We will be launching live classes soon! Sign up for our waitlist here to be notified when they become available.

No Cancellations, Returns, or Refunds

Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final. Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded under any circumstances.

Shipping & Delivery

Cake Taster Boxes are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 24 (UK only) the day before your selected delivery date to ensure timely arrival.
While Royal Mail aims to deliver within 24 hours, we cannot guarantee exact delivery times, as delays may occur.
In the event of delays caused by Royal Mail, we are not responsible and cannot offer refunds or replacements.
Please ensure that you or someone in your household is available to receive the delivery, as we are not responsible for packages left at the post office due to missed deliveries.

Transit & Packaging

We take great care in packaging our taster boxes securely to minimise the risk of damage.
However, we are not liable for any damage that may occur during transit once the package has left our premises.

Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Our cakes contain common allergens, including but not limited to dairy, eggs, gluten (wheat), nuts, and soy.
If you require a gluten-free option, please contact us before purchasing at hello@caketasia.co.uk, as available flavours may be limited.
We operate in a kitchen that handles allergens, so while we take precautions, cross-contamination is possible.

All tutorial videos, cake designs, and branding materials belong to Caketasia and may not be copied, shared, or redistributed in any form.
Tutorials are for personal use only and must not be resold or distributed.
We reserve the right to take legal action against unauthorised sharing of our tutorials.

We reserve the right to photograph all cakes and share them on our social media, website, or promotional materials.
If your event is a surprise, please let us know, and we will delay posting the cake until after your event.
